Terms & Conditions of Sale

These terms govern the supply of laboratory chemicals, reagents, glassware, instruments and related consumables by BAMSTAR TECHNOLOGIES (registration no. BN-Y6S9DMLY), of UMOJA COMPLEX Capital Round-About Opp. Co-op Bank , P.O. Box 3888-40200 , KISII, Kenya. By requesting a quotation or placing an order you accept these terms.

Prices shown in the online catalogue are indicative. A binding price is the one stated on the written quotation we issue against your request. Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, after which prices may be revised — chemical and equipment costs move with exchange rates and import duties.

Quotations are given for the grade, pack size and quantity specified. Substituting a different grade or pack size changes the price.

All prices are quoted in Kenya Shillings (KES). Prices are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate.

Delivery charged at cost; confirmed on your quotation.

An order is accepted when we confirm it against a quotation reference. We accept payment by M-Pesa and bank transfer. Recognised institutions — schools, universities, hospitals and government bodies — may order against a Local Purchase Order (LPO). Upload your LPO at checkout; goods are invoiced to your finance office on the credit terms stated on the LPO.

We reserve the right to require payment in advance, or a deposit on special-order and imported items.

Our typical dispatch time is 2–5 working days for stocked items for stocked items. Items that must be imported or specially ordered carry longer lead times, which we state before you order. Lead times are estimates given in good faith and are not guaranteed delivery dates; we are not liable for delays outside our reasonable control.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Please inspect goods on arrival and report shortages, breakages or discrepancies within 48 hours.

Laboratory chemicals are supplied for professional, educational, research or industrial use by competent personnel only. They are not supplied for human or veterinary consumption, for use in food, or for any domestic purpose.

You are responsible for ensuring that the people handling these goods are trained and appropriately equipped, that storage conditions stated on the label and Safety Data Sheet are met, and that disposal complies with NEMA and other applicable regulations. Safety Data Sheets are available on request for any product we supply, and we recommend you obtain and read the SDS before use.

Certain controlled or restricted substances require documentation before we can supply them. We may decline any order where the intended use or the buyer's authorisation cannot be established.

Because of contamination and safety risks, opened chemical containers cannot be returned. Unopened, undamaged stock items in their original packaging may be returned within 7 days of delivery by prior arrangement; a restocking charge may apply. Special-order and imported items are non-returnable.

Goods delivered damaged, incorrect, or not matching the quotation will be replaced or refunded at no cost to you — contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

We warrant that goods will correspond with the description and grade stated on the quotation at the time of delivery. Equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty where one is offered; warranty terms are stated on your quotation or invoice.

Our liability for any claim is limited to the price paid for the goods giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of experimental results, laboratory downtime, or lost teaching time. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
